Queer Sheds at the Seashore: Birds of the In-Between - Bird watching and queer ecology with Luíse O’Donovan

We’re embracing spring for our first shed meetup of 2025 with a queer ecology workshop led by Luíse O’Donovan.

🦜 Queer Sheds at the Seashore: Birds of the In-Between

  • 13:45, Sunday 9th March

  • We will be meeting at Seafield Pier in Quilty

  • All welcome

In this workshop we will meet some birds, learn a little about how they interact with their environment and the adventures they go on, all through a queer ecology lens 🌱 Spots are limited, so please reserve your space in advance.

Luíse O'Donovan is a queer ecologist with a focus on seabird conservation and marine ecosystems. They work on seabird tracking projects, and have contributed to seabird censuses and monitored breeding wader populations. Luíse values wildlife for its own sake, and for how it connects us to our culture & each other.

Just in case, dress to be dry and warm, bring waterproof footwear, your binoculars (we’ll have some to share), and feel free to bring some treats to share. The workshop will take between 1.30 to 2 hours long.
